BNBM is a green environmental building new material industry platform affiliated to China National Building Materials Group, a top 500 central enterprise in the world. It was established in 1979 under the kind care of Comrade Deng Xiaoping, and was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 1997 (000786.SZ). It is currently the largest new green building material in China. The Group, the world's largest gypsum board industry group.

 In August 2019, BNBM officially entered the waterproof industry, and became the only central enterprise in China's waterproof material industry. BNBM building materials jointly reorganized BNBM Yuwang, BNBM Shuyang, BNBM Jinmuzhi, BNBM Yuehuang, Chengdu Saite, Tianjin Aotai and other regional leading waterproof enterprises, the national layout of 15 waterproof industry bases. The annual production capacity of modified asphalt waterproof coil is 390 million square meters, 58,700 tons of waterproof coating, 110 million square meters of polymer coil, and 10 million square meters of asphalt tile.
